I've heard many complaints about the electric stabilizers, especially about blowing their fuses. Something to seriously consider. Yes I have a 3.55 gear axle on my truck. I think I should be able to tow across Texas just fine, my main concern is serious change in elevation. What hitch do you use?

All of our camping has been in Florida. Highest elevation is 350 feet. Although we have crossed the Sunshine skyway Bridge numerous times with plenty of power. You did not say which rear end your truck has we opted for the 3.55 for better towing. We chose this unit because its dry weight was 3000 lbs less than the trucks max tow weight. I don't recommend the motorized corner stabilizers. I believe the unit will be more stable with scissor jacks. Electrics will not level the unit. Use blocks under the tires for that purpose. We find the unit perfect for two people and have entertained up to 8 in the living dining area.

Hi Joe, I'm very interested in the rockwood 2703ws and I have a stock 2013 F150 STX 5.0 V8. How has your towing experience been? I live in central Texas, close to the hill country. Also want to take it up to Vallecito Colorado, just northeast of Durango. Have you towed up into the mountains? Thanks Mike
