You will notice if its seated correctly when your securing the top back on with the fastners. If yiu feel any binding, just dbl check that the new air filter is seated completely down in its holder. I'd offer that in the main forum, but too many would just chime in with I' m going to MB. Lol. Enjoy!

Actually Sprinters are even currently being badged as "freightliner van" because of perceptions by customers, say when a MB plumber shows up at a residence in an MB badged sprinter, customers actually complained more to the home office about getting gouged on price by the tech. I read an article about that, so because of complaints, fleet buyers can purchase under the Feightliner badge still. My friend who I helped do his filter change out, just bought his parts from a feightliner dealer in our area and the boxes were all MB logo. One other note on changing the air filter for the tubo intake(large blk box) in line with the feed tube. You have to be careful seating the new filter in the bottom of the box. Best advice I learned from my friend was, take note how well the spent one your replacing is fitted in the holder, MB has designed a really tight fit on that component (filter), so as not to allow anything past it, thus ending up in the turbo.

CaptDan, here are a few things I learned while helping my friend. Buy the specialty tool, getting those fuel clamps off without it is near impossible (see my post in the blog on that). The water sensor electrical connection has a white locking clip. You just slide it back allowing removal of the connector. It's apparent when you see it. To make access easy, do remove and swing out of place the intake housings.
When ordering parts from freightliner(much cheaper) have your VIN#. Let me know if you have more Q's.
