    Looks like you know Colorado, we live in the far west part, Grand Junction is a very nice place to retire, we did in 1998 after living in Denver. We are close to the moutains but, our winters here are not bad at all, lots of good wine, good fruits, peaches are out of this world.

    I don't know if you can do this, but would it be possible to cut the staples with a dremel tool and then use self-tapping screws to re-attach? Just a thought. May not be worth the hassel. I need to go out and check mine but we're getting some rain right now.
    Keep plugging at it. Preventing any water intrusion is well worth the effort.

    I'm a liitle slow so help me out. If the slideout is framed with aluminum, what is the seal stapled to?
