    Hello Mike,

It pulls really good, we had a 31 foot Rockwood 2607a travel trailer before. We put about 3500 miles on the TT with the 2500 in 2016 before we bought the 5r. So we had a comparison between the 5r and the TT. The TT was around 8000 loaded it was 31 feet long. The 5r maxs out at 11500, we are at 10500 on the scales loaded, the 5r is 32 feet long. The 2500 has a 6.4 hemi with 3.23 gears and the 20" tire option. This last fall we towed the 5r from Waukesha Wi to Asheville NC, we averaged 11. On a similar trip with the TT we got 13.

The truck likes the 5r we can't even tell its back there. We are using a B&W Companion hitch with the Ram puck system. We put 3200 miles on the 5r in 2017 and it is an absolute dream to pull. I think the lower gas mileage isn't so much from the extra weight but the added height, that I can feel in a head wind. We had side winds through Indiana on I65 and we didn't have any problem with sway with the 5r.

    Hope that helps

    Earl
