Hi Patrick. Let me apologize for not responding sooner, as I did not see the icon telling me I had a message. I live in north Mesa. So, my favorite go to place in the cool season is off the Four Peaks road. That is off SR-87. That is the hi way that takes you to Payson. About 20 miles north from Mesa, there is a turn off into the Four Peaks area on the right. It is a big enough place, there is also a crossover there to go back south. It is located about 3-4 miles past the Bush Highway turn off.
Go into there, about 2miles, past 3staging areas for off road groups, there are plenty of passable back roads with many disbursed places to camp.
Near Florence, it has been several years since there, but I do remember places near Sun Valley or on the roadway towards Roger’s Trough. The second gets rough the further you go back, so Google accordingly depending on your rig.
Let me know if you have found any places or plan to in the future. Again apologies for not responding sooner!

Hi "neighbor",
By any chance are you familiar with any boondocking areas off 79 either in or just outside Florence? Someone told me about a few areas, but they couldn't say anything more than "somewhere out near Florence".
I Google-Earthed it and I see what looks like pull offs on what is labeled as "E 96 Ranch Road", but I was hoping you might be familiar with where I'm looking for, or perhaps know of other places down that way. (actually, any place you know other than heading up north would be appreciated if you know of any)
Thanks in advance,
Patrick

Well....depends what you want to do or look for. Along the top bar, there are categories, and a search bar for topics. That bar allows you to search inside the forum, or to go to the Internet. Poke around and explore. You can browse a ton of topics.
