    Yes, the square aluminum tube is what holds the spring onto the roof panel. It is riveted to the roof frame and easily ground off and then replaced with new rivets. The hardest part of this repair was having the roof panel at a 90 degree angle to the trailer. having a tall helper hold it up while you install the torsion bar makes it very easy. Replacing the bars on my A128s made the set-up an easy, one person procedure. Good luck!
