Hi Tim,
If or when you have some free time could you provide me with the measurement over the fireplace. I'm going to make a mantel out of some 130+ year old swamp white oak lumber that came from my wifes home in northwest Ohio. I just need the measurement of the metal frame across the top of fireplace and also how wide is the total opening of the fireplace area. Thanks in advance.
Hi Randy, It's Tim. I'm uncertain if I can 'attach' a photo to this message. you may need to email me so I can send the photo of the One Step XL installed without the second 'Rod' which I did call the manufacturer and confirm. In hind sight I should have ordered the smaller version. They won't let me post the photo or my email...
Hi again,
Since I have questions, here's another. With your recommendation I purchased a one step chock and received it today. The problem is to use on my current TT the bar with all of the holes drilled in it is too long and therefore won't allow the chocks to snap into position. According to the manufacturer I could cut off the bar till it won't interfere with
the operation. Before I do that could you tell me where on yours does the locking bolt fit?
Thanks.
Hi timm9, Randy here,
I"m trying to get the correct size for a set of snap pads for my 2883ws. Lippert shows one size (round 9") but I contacted the dealer in Indiana where I bought the unit and the service tech says backs are round but fronts are square? Called the manufacturer in Middleburg Indiana where unit is manufactured and he went out on the floor and said they were all square. Called lippert and the rep there said all are round. Talk about confusion, Could you tell me what your's are? I wonder if the factory puts on temp square pads to keep from scratching the plates and then installs the round ones when unit is shipped?
