Toilet seems to be blocked. Help!,,

I noticed that yesterday when we flushed before going out that toilet bubbled water when flushed. Today when we flush nothing goes down. If I flush again it will overflow. The black tank is close to empty. No wand so what can I do to clear line. 10:03 at night. Thanks and hoping to get a solution.

Is your toilet straight over the tank, or a line connection to it ?
Sure sounds like tank full ! Are you 100% positive your tank is nearly empty ?

Go to Walmart, buy a toilet plunger. Shut off your water and while holding the flush lever open use the plunger.

Get a small plumbing snake at a hardware store tomorrow, Tonight, use a coat hanger with a small hook to go from the top of the toilet and try to clear the blockage. Most toilet plugging problems is LACK OF WATER WHEN FLUSHING SOLIDS. After you get it unplugged, use lots of water when flushing solids and you'll avoid this happening again!

Tried plunger and that didn't do it. I hate to out a snake in there and get it stuck. New at RV plumbing Toilet is the Dometic.

Do you leave the black tank drain valve open? If so, you have the dreaded poo pile in the tank. You might have a couple of options, none of them are very pleasant. If you dump valve has been closed, then its possible construction debris is blocking the outlet. If this is the case you might try shoving a hose up thru the drain pipe, turn on the water and see what happens.

A friend of mine got rid of the pile in the used trailer he bought by dumping in ice cubes and driving around for awhile.

Plunger and snake will not likely work.

1. Be sure to leave the black tank valve closed till full, use lots of water when flushing solids.

2. If you trailer does not have a tank flush, go to an RV store and get a flushing wand that hooks to a garden hose (do not use your fresh water hose) Something like this Camco 40074 Flexible Swivel Stik with Shutoff Valve ... http://www.amazon.com/Camco-40074-Fl...+cleaning+wand or this Valterra A01-0184VP Master Blaster Tank Wand ... http://www.amazon.com/Valterra-A01-0...+cleaning+wand

You can also back wash from black tank valve to get water to dislodge solids and flush...
