Pressure washing

Does anyone use a pressure washer to clean their trailer? I am considering using one. I know that the decals could be damaged if I got to close or near an edge, but how about the rest of the unit. Seagulls really did a number on it this past weekend.

Thanks for the input.

I have not yet with my current unit, but always have with past units. Just stay further back near decals. I will be washing and hand waxing the new one thus weekend and will be using the pressure washer.

No way.

Most RVs have delicate finish/decals/paint job and too many orifices where water could enter. Potential damage outweighs any benefit in my opinion.

A good long handle brush, dishwashing liquid soap, hot water if needed will rid any RV of any crap (I use Magic Eraser on tough stains)

A good coat of wax on the front will also help with wiping off bug guts.

The rain bay test that PT puts every RV through has more pressure and varying angles than what I would do with my household washer so no worries.

We use our 3000 psi 3gpm gas powered pressure washer all the time. I just put on a fan tip and the DW stays back from the trailer while prewashing and rinsing the TT. It is no different than going to a Semi truck wash and we use them when we are on the road.

We've used one on all our RV's and it not been a problem, like others have said just take it easy.

i uses a pressure washer on mine for the first time 2 yrs ago. in several places the edges of the decals were torn.
i wouldn't recommend it. a soft brush and water works better. was never able to get the trailer as clean with the pressure washer.
