Trash - what do you do for a 'can'?

At home we have trash cans in the bathrooms and kitchen, the office, etc.

The trailer has no room for a can of any size in the bathroom, unless it's in the tub I guess... and the kitchen is the same way - anything freestanding on the floor is in the way and forget under the sink (a shelf there takes up any vertical space, besides we use that for silverware).

We've taken to using a plastic grocery bag on a hook on the wall...I hate it, my DW seems ok with it.

What do you do? Is there a better solution?

that was one deciding factors when we bought our cedar creek. We can have a decent size trash can in the kitchen.

We use a small 8 gallon in the kitchen an regular trash bags hanging outside on the awning. We spend most of the time outside so the small inside can is sufficient..

Well, the Wildcats come with a CTS (Central Trash System)...a fancy name for a garbage bin. It's actually kinda neat. In the corner of the kitchen cabinets, they actually have a hole (well...a square), cut into the Corian countertop and a trash bin underneath it. The good side of it is, it is concealed and out of the way. The downside is, you can only empty it from the outside. Not a big deal unless it's pouring rain! Otherwise, we have a small trash can that we can fit in a corner of the bedroom/shower area. Our old TT had nothing like it, and we did the same as you; a plastic bag hung on a hook.

We have a small round can with a flip lid that we use in the bathroom but that doesn't help much for the rest of the trailer. For now we've been using a collapsible can left outside but it doesn't have a lid which looks like "garbage" and attracks bugs as well. Need to find a lid or a collapsible can with a lid. Probably still keep it outside for now with alternate storage for night time to keep animals out.

We're lucky enough to have our garbage can in the kitchen, yet out of the way, right in front of the slide next to the free standing table. In the bathroom, we use a small garbage can we purchased at Dollar Tree. More than enough room for this, since our bathroom takes up the entire back end of our TT. We also have a can outside so we can throw the really dirty/stinky stuff out there. We burn every peice of paper garbage we can (I'm a HUGE proponent of "no plastic in the fire!!), so we really cut down on our garbage. We went on a houseboat vacation for a week last year and we had to bring all of our garbage out with us. That means storing it - on the boat - for a week. With burning the paper, we were able to come back with 3 small bags of garbage (for 6 people) and one really HUGE bag of aluminum cans. :)

We use a small garbage bin under the sink. In my previous rigs ranging from tent trailers, campers and small 5th wheel... There has never been room for a garbage can, so it has always been a bag on a hook.

We have a standard size bathroom garbage can under the vanity in the bathroom and a regular size kitchen one under the sink in the kitchen (it just fits)

plastic bag hanging on drawer knob in kitchen, tiny plastic tash can lined with a plastic bag wedged between toilet and vanity. I'm interested in seeing pictures of a better ideas, especially in the kitchen

Since I camp solo I can get away with less trash. I am using one of my lower cabinets to keep the kitchen trash can out of site. I don't have any slide outs so space is limited. The trash can I am using is from my tent camping days. I brought a small one (no lid) at KMart that designed to use plastic shopping bags. Basically it's a regular type plastic container but with "holders" for the bag handles to help keep the bag opened and secured in place.

In the bathroom I am using a small waste bin that I found at Target in the dollar section. This size can be found at Kmart for a dollar and most 99cents stores. Walmart, Target, Kmart do carry regular small trashcans but they were wider than I needed for a small spot. I leave the one in the bathroom next to the wall by the cabinet.
