Black water tank flush

The idea of pulling a garden hose into the bathroom to flush the tank, not too appealing to me. For about $15 i bought this handy device. I did not the buy the one that claims to turn. Most reviews were negative. This one just sprays the inside of the tank from static holes drilled in the nozzle. Very easy install.
I added a few feet of garden hose to gain access. (the tank is behind the axle)

Make sure you always use a backflow preventer on the hose end.

You should also install an anti-siphon valve to prevent black water from entering the flush hose and siphoning it out the inlet while you drive.

They normally get sold with the anti-siphon with the kit. Make sure that you use it, otherwise, although a long-shot, you could really contaminate a water system badly.

Also, don't forget the winterize that line when you put your unit away for the winter. The water in the hose and sprayer will freeze and damage it. I just blow it out with compressed air.

The anti siphon is built in. I store my trailer inside a heated building. I winterize in case the power fails. But thanks for the tip.

Steve, like the idea on the flush. Better than letting the kids fill up the black water by running the fresh water. What did you do to mount the hose on the outside?

You just hang it underneath or drill the side?

I did the side so water will spray the length of the tank. It works well. I have a clear extension on the drain before the macerator pump. I was surprised at the amount debris it washes out.

I can post more pics if it will help.

Steve, did you mount the loose end of the hose to the side of your trailer for easy hookup to a fresh water source? Or is the hose simply tucked up/coiled up underneath your TT? Where did you purchase the kit?
