House Battery water level checking

Recently replaced house batteries before long trip. They are located on passenger side in a compartment. Trying to see into those cells is really difficult. Any of you have a solution besides a mirror held over the exposed cell and a headlamp being reflected into it (it doesn't work well).

there are automatic systems like the ProFill that allow you to service the batteries to proper level without having to visually see each cell.

TY. I'm in the road now. Any suggestions on where to purchase?

Here is a link to ProFill https://flow-rite.com/battery-watering/pro-fill They sell the system on Amazon for around $57.00

Gave up on mirror and flash light Someone suggested an inspection camera- small hand held screen/gun with a 36 inch fiber optic flexible wand. Bought at Harbor Frieght on sale for abt 60 bucks. Placing camera over battery cell and add water and look for the density mixtures of water and acid swirling to cover plate. Not ideal but works better than mirror. Bright sunlight diminishes visibility-got to be creative and adjust. Plus found other uses for it.

If you have some room above the batteries then one of these works great. Fill it with distilled water then put spout in cell opening and push down. Water will flow until electrolyte covers vent hole in spout automatically shutting off flow.

Around $12 at Walmart.

Unlike a "Watering System" you can also use it on all your other batteries on cars, trucks, etc. Just hard to use on small lawn/garden and motorcycle batteries as the spout is too large.

These were a staple item in all "Gas Stations" up until Self Service took over.

Is your battery water low that often that you need to check so much and so often??
