Does anyone know of this. I just bought this unit a week ago and during walk through I noticed 2 stickers above the kitchen slide out that said to place tension bars at these locations on the wall to secure the slide when traveling. I asked the person who was doing walk through what that was about and he said that was for factory for when they transported it across country to this destination in Ca. He said I didnít need to use them. After I got home I found the bars under the the bed. So do I need to use these? Anyone know for sure?

I use them. I figure if the manufacturer thought it was important enough to place the stickers on the wall is better play it safe and use them too.

You're lucky. I had to buy them.

Ok thanks, the slides are so tall I guess I will use them on the corners. Lol canít reach the center. And hope I donít forget they are there.

I tied a big red ribbon on all of them to serve as a visual reminder. That way when I open the camper I see them and realize they are there. It was important for me for a while now that I'm in the habit I could probably remove them.

I also added red lockout switch covers to all the toggles.

I just got through to factory and they said to use the bars because of how heavy the kitchen slide is. He said even one would be fine so I am going to use it right here at the end of slide.Attachment 201373Attachment 201374Attachment 201375 You can see my switch panel, not sure how to lockout the switch

Use them and use then at the locations specified.

I don't know for sure about your unit but we had a SOB (some other brand) that required them and the wall and the slide flange was reinforced at the location of the travel bars.

If you wall is marked, that is where I would place them even if it requires the use of a step stool to install/remove.

No you didn't... a glitch of the mobile app... until you back out of the thread and re-view the post.

Unfortunately for me the first guy on the walk through said to take the sticker off the wall because I didnít need them so I did. The guy at factory said to use bars on the corner and only one would be ok.

Yeah.. not sure how you'd do that then.

Mine are different.

Ribbons may not be a bad idea though. It would help me.

If that slide decides to go out that piece of glue sawdust board that's stapled on is not going to hold it. My 2015 bunkhouse came with one on the back slide and none on main slide. So must not be that important. Besides with slide in couldn't get to it anywas. I just dont worrie about it. but that's me

What do you think holds the slide in when you're using it?
