Anode Rod Fitting Size V-lite 26WRB

I'm preparing to winterize the TT within the next couple of months and called the dealer to ask the socket size I need to remove the anode rod. I've read here that most fittings are 1 1/16" or 1 1/8", but the guy in parts says it is 1 1/2". That seems mighty big, but he could be right. Thought I'd check here before I buy a wrench/socket.

The TT is located a few miles away in a storage lot.

All of the replacment rods I have used are 1-1/6,but in (TEXAS) they are bigger! Youroo!!:)

All of mine have been 1-1/16". I also bought a 1/2" x 6" extension to use for 2 purposes. 1) Gets the ratchet or breaker bar outside the housing. 2) Use it to counterbalance the anode when re-installing (without the ratchet or breaker bar)

I store both the socket and the extension in the wh compartment.

Mine takes a 1 1/16" socket. I brought it (a 1/2" drive) at Sears. A bit pricey but it works.
