furnace question

Seems I keep finding things to scratch my head over while camping in cold weather. The furnace will shut off after a period of time (and I mean like a breaker blew), and I still have power. If I lift the galley (which will shut off electricity) and set it back the furnace will come back on, almost like reseting breaker.

Is there a timer that will automatically shut it off?

A furnace will lock-out if it can't ignite in about 3 tries. The way to reset the lock-out is to turn the power off to it.

What's causing it to lock-out in the first place is the question. If you have bug screens on the outside vent, try removing those.

You might have water in the gas line or a bad regulator or ???

Can you elaborate on this?

When galley is swung down to close down camper powers switches off. When galley swung up into position to use power switches on. I assume it is to be an idiot switch to prevent 12v lights to remain on when pulling camper.

That's exactly what it's for. I ran into something similar on mine last winter when the furnace wouldn't do anything but blow. Evidently I had moisture in the line. The furnace was the last appliance on the line and it seems the moisture got blown into the last bend before the line went into the floor and froze partially. It started working again when it warmed up a little. I ended up packing a small hair dryer after that and wrapped the exposed propane lines before I sold it.
