Hitch/Firestone Adjustments

I recently installed a set of Firestone Ride-Rites on my 2010 Ford F250. The truck is a supercab/SWB. My 34 foot Sandpiper TT has a Hensley Arrow Hitch installed.

Does anyone have experience with this set up? If so, any suggestions about a starting place for adjustments?:crying:

Welcome to FRF!

I'm surpised that you'd need air bags with this set-up. If the truck is squatting in the rear too much, you need to adjust the weight distribution bars on the hitch. Start off measuring the top of the wheel opening to the ground of the truck at all 4 corners while on level ground. Then hook up the TT and adjust the bars and measure the wheel opening to ground. The rear will still squat a bit compared to unloaded but the front measurement should never be larger loaded vs unloaded. It should be the same or slightly less or you're not shifting enough weight forward.

I'd set the air bags at 10 - 15 lbs and leave them.

I looked on Hennessy's site. This link is for the installation manual and talks about adjustments...

Looks like you turn the spring bar jack to adjust.
