slide seal maintenance

Anyone have any suggestions on how to apply chemicals/preservatives to the top of the slide seals under the slide topper? How do you reach to the inside?

I just use a rag. If I wipe the outside seals first it gets pretty saturated. I spray some protectant under the outer seal to the inner and wipe it with the rag. I've found it does a great job.

For those tough to reach places, I have seen one member post that he wraps some socks around an extension pole.

Aerospace 303 applied by spraying on and wiping down with a clean sponge. Use the 303 on your tires too! It's like sunscreen for premature sidewall aging and cracking.

It's not so easy as just spray and wipe when talking about the top seal under the slide out cover. I have done mine from a ladder but I can't reach all the way. I guess the good news is they are protected so the treatment isn't as important.

Phil, I took a new tennis ball, put a hole in it and screwed onto one of telescoping wash poles. Saturated the tennis ball and coated the gasket. I'm anal, I know!

Well, I took one of those telescoping wash poles and taped a padded sock to it, saturated it with 303 and did the best I could to cover the seals. I think next time I am going to try to fix a sponge on the end and saturate it before using. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I sprayed the silicone/lubricant on one of those short paint rollers for smooth surfaces and used an extension handle. Worked great.

Which Aerospace 303 Product

Which Aerospace 303 product is best for slide seals. They make several including 303 Aerospace Cleaner, 303 Aerospace Protectant, 303 Vinyl & Fabric Convertible Top Cleaner and 303 Fabric Guard?

Aerospace 303 Protectorant is best for the seals, tires and dashboard of the coach. IMO
