I allow it to fill so that the “rush” moves as much as possible. I then let the tank flush run for 5-10 minutes and dump again. I do this several times but the tank gauge still shows half full.

That makes sense. I will check connections also. I guess if a full battery is 12.75 volts then if the converter stays at or above that while powering all four heaters then it is working correctly.

Not spark plugs, Spark Arrester. It is part of the exhaust system. You are supposed to take the plug (bolt) on the bottom of it out then put the generator under full load and run it for 5 minutes...
