In Canada we only used credit card that didn't charge for exchange rate. It must be a chipped card. Didn't use any currency till we were back in Alaska.

I took my camper to coldfoot. Saved a lot of mud from the camper. Then drove up to Prudhoe bay in morning, took a tour and went shopping in company store then drove back to coldfoot. One long day.
