I've been there several times, but never got ocean front. They all seem to be set up with the living area pointing toward ocean side. Most of them down on the end we stay at don't see the ocean....

You may want to check the positions of the valves...

You may want to check the positions of the valves on your hot water heater. If not correct it can give you warm water instead of hot.

Good idea about removing it to see if that's the problem. I did install it myself so I should be able to take it off, but some of those bolts are a real pain without an air tool!
