They are pellets. They are sort pliable, but you really can't squeeze them into a shape. It's almost like I have a pellet for each thread hole.

It is actually a switch issue. The jack will lower the tongue but not raise it. I am appreciate all the input. I did not realize tongue jack preference was like a whiskey recommendation.
