I added on top of the original mattress, a piece 1" thick convoluted foam(egg crate facing down) with a 3" thick memory foam on top.

This sleeps as good (maybe better) than my expensive S & F...

Take a lots of pictures or video of the walk thru ..we were glad we did. There was too many things to digest /remember and was a bit overwhelming..
