We use a king size flat sheet and use sheet clips/ suspenders on all 4 corners to hold them on. Works well for our kids.

It would take quite a bit. I am more concerned with clearance on unlevel ground. Hopefully the shorter pin box will fix everything.

I thought it did very well. I'm not traveling cross county or up any mountains so it suits me fine. The real test for me will be in a few weeks for the first wheeler trip.
