would this work? i cut the blue pex, and install the shark valve. The existing elbow stays on the blue pex, and I find a short flexible cable which connects into the elbow and over to the toilet.

Wonder if the valve would CAREFULLY actually fit onto the tight blue pex? pex measures 3 3/4 from floor to fastener, valve measures 3 5/8 end to end. Might have to hacksaw off the tip of the handle.

No leaks, the connection is no longer cross threaded - but it is a very tight deal to get it put on straight after that picture was taken. The bowl fills and runs over.
