Thanks. Don't mistake my comment with dogging your brackets. They actually work great. The site I'm at slopes and I have my poles at full extension so that is probably part of it.

The only other thing I can think of is to glue a threaded adapter to the pole and then screw on a metal hub. Just not sure how that will look.
