Ice maker line in your sandpiper?

We bought a 16 Sandpiper...378FB. We have a LG residential refrigerator. We have turned On the icemaker, made sure the lever is correct as instructed in manual. We found a lever under the sink and turned it. Still no water. Any other suggestions? Where is your ice maker water
Valve in your sandpiper?

On our 16 371rebh there is a valve for the fridge behind the drawer right beside the fridge. The drawer has to be removed to get to it. I'm not sure if your fridge is located beside a drawer bank or not.... Also the valve on ours is a pull to open and push down to close....

the valves

The only thing behind the drawers on the frig side is the electrical cords.

There is a valve under the sink.... and we have turned it both ways too... nothing.

We tried one under the slide on the outside... however, when we open it, water just runs out on the ground. We are beginning to wonder if that is where the one to the ice maker is supposed to be attached... hum?

A silly question that must be asked... Do you have the water pump on (or connected to city water)?

Water line

We have tried it with water tank and pump on.... we switched it to the city water...still nothing. We have tried all sorts of valves, but no luck. We have looked behind drawers, under sinks, under slides, and it still alludes us.

When I first used our ice maker on the LG,on our PDEK, it took several hours to get our first "pink" ice.

Make sure the temperature control on your freezer is set to the coldest temperature. The icemaker has a thermostat so that it will not call for water unless the freezer is at a certain temperature or below. It took me several trips with no ice and finally reading the instructions to figure that one out.

Any shutoff should be at a right angle to the pipe to be on. Also look under the slide,if the fridge is situated in a slide, to make sure there is not a shut off there also. The wire in the freezer drawer should be down to operate. Good luck with it!

That is incorrect. Most shut offs are at a right angle to the pipe in the off position. They will be in line with the pipe in the on position.

We have the same unit. Make sure the arm in the ice maker is down. We usually have ice in about 30 minutes assuming the fridge is already cooled down. The arm can hang up on the drawer/tray.

Also assuming the it actually was plumbed correctly. Saw on another forum where not water line was run...guess they forgot it was a residential
