Hi Everyone,
We previewed our 2009 Sandpiper 332 RLD TT last Sat, 04/05/2008. We were soo happy with everything we saw. We were handpressed to find anything wrong on the walk thru, and look forward to some great camping fun. I was given a lot of information and I know some of it didn't soak in, may have to get some advice occasionly from you vets here!
When we ordered the RV back in Feb we thought we were ordering a 2008, but a 2009 came in, common I guess on a midwinter order?
Anxious in Northland!!!

Yea. I bought my new 2008 model in 2007.
I bought my 2003 in 2002. It's weird, but that's how it works.

I just purchased a 2009 Sandpiper 345QB. I really love this set up. It has the bunks in the front and the main bedroom in the rear. The only problem so far is that I stripped the gear in the bunk slideout. It has a nylon gear and a cd got stuck and it stripped it out. Lippert wont just sell the gear. They want me to buy a whole new motor and I only had it for 2 weeks, so I decided to use my cordless drill to put it in and out for now. Other than that I love. 39' long with 3 slides!!!

Signed up on the forum a few days ago. Purchased a 375QBQ about a year ago. Have not had any major problems although we haven't towed it that much. Mainly from the coast during fishing season and then to the ranch during hunting season. I wouldn't recommend this unit for someone planning on traveling a lot since it is so big and tall. The tall part really concerns me when stopping to get fuel or passing under some overpasses in Texas. Our main purpose for buying this big a unit was so that my wife and I, along with two sons, daughter-in-law and grandkids can stay in it while we are deep sea fishing in the Port Aransas, Texas area. The sons have the boat. It's a room full when all are aboard but we are close knit family.

We have a F305RLW we purchased brand new in May of 2006. We have had several problems. First of all the Concertone suround system in our unit just stoped working on or last trip out. Forest river repalced it after several calls to the Manufacture in Oregon. The people in Oregon were not very friendly. They first told me it was out of warrenty and basically though ****. I went higher up. I also found out from speaking with United States Warrenty the company that carries our extended warrenty that Concertone is owned by Forest River and they have been having lots of problems with their system and they have a replacement. That was the first of our problems. We just also found that there is a problem with the pin box flex which is causing side wall to crack at bedroom slidout wall. I live in southern California and have a Forest River manufacture here in Rialto, Ca. I spoke to Oregon where my unit is manufactured and was told to take it to the Rialto location to have unit fixed. The Rialto location treated me like if the trailer was made by some other manufacture because in they're words my trailer was made in Oregon not California. They seem to have no real concern about they're quality issues. At this time they are willing to fix what ever problem it could be. But I'm not very comfortable with the way I have been treated there and was a little leary to leave my unit there. They just wanted me to drop it off with no kind of work order, (just leave it here)....

We have the sister ship, an 07 Sierra 316 BHD. No problems other than the junk stereo system that sells at Wallmart for $80. I've replace that with our home stereo receiver and just use the DVD player. I've also added a lot of shelves and am planning on installing a lot of drawer slides next year.

From a pop-up and mini van to a 37 foot 5er and an 06 Dodge 2500 Cummins Megacab. Wow,,what a difference!

Wife and 3 young boys 4,9 & 11. someday a dog too.

Thanks bdbopper, We will start out in Washington with just the truck and pick up the trailer in Ohio. On the way back will visit Branson and Silver Dollar city near Springfield, Mo. We haven't mapped out the rest of the trip yet. Will leave 6/28. Be gone about 17days.

We're baaaccckkk.

Just got back from Ohio. A few minor glitches with the 292rl so far, but fixed. I'd say nothing unusual for a new trailer. LIke previously said it tows like a dream. So far a really nice trailer. Favorite rv park along the way was Tall Pines rv park next to silver dollar city in Branson, Missouri.:

new to the site I have had our 36ft. 5th wheel for a couple years. Bought it used from a couple that used it twice and hated camping. It held up good but there is a stress crack in the 5th wheel section by the slide. The dealer fixed it but it came back they are removing the hole front cab as we speak to see if it is structual. This is cutting into my camping. I wish forest river would help on the bill.

Great to see some decent comments on the Sandpoint. We have always had Newmar 5ER. We pick up our 2010 Sandpiper 356rl on 6-25 & will be at the lake for 10 days. Sure hope everything works well. We are a little concerned about 1ac handling the heat. I have read reivews stating the insulation is not real great? Do I need to take a fan?

We are new to the site also. Have a 08 Rockwood 8313SS. I never thought we would upgrade to a 5er so soon. We will be getting a 2011 Sandpiper 355QBQ hopefully saturday or monday at the latest. Just hoping we have as good of luck with this one as we have had with the Rockwood. We bought it locally, I know we probably paid more than could have been found the internet. But I really appreciate the personal contact.

We are shifting to a full-time on-the-road lifestyle, while still working. I'm a work-from-home computer programmer, so the garage is becoming my office. We are both in our lower 40's and want to get out and *do* before we are too old to enjoy it.

I'll still be working from home. It just the home will be in a different city every month or two.
