We are shifting to a full-time on-the-road lifestyle, while still working. I'm a work-from-home computer programmer, so the garage is becoming my office. We are both in our lower 40's and want to get out and *do* before we are too old to enjoy it.

I'll still be working from home. It just the home will be in a different city every month or two.
Good for you. You have the right idea about doing the things you love while you're young. I'm 60 now and started with my 1st 5th wheel in 1991 and I'm on my 3rd one now. I formally retired at age 55 so we have the time.
Good luck and

I have a 07 Sandpiper 305RLF. and when we put the slid's out or bring them in they stop and we have to wait about 10 sec then push the slid button again and it moves. Some times this happines 2 or 3 times when moving the Slid out in or out.. Is this a major problem or minor ??? One thing, the Bed room slid works fine, its when the Living room slid is moving that it stops

Wife and I just purchased a 2000 385 slds. Only was able to spend the month of July in it. Had to return home for work. It is permanently set up in Vermont. Looking forward to spending time there next year.

We just purchased a 2004 32RLSS. I'm still in the catching up with maintenance phase and hoping to use it next weekend fishing at the NC Coast. The po had all of the paperwork that came with it but I'm really disappointed in Forest River's owners manual. Talk about generic! I guess it's gonna be an ongoing mystery game as I try to figure out where everything is in this trailer.

We purchased a 2011 345 RET this Spring and we love it. We don't travel far because of jobs but we love to get away when we can. I know I will get a lot of slack about this but we also Bass fish a lot so I will be pulling my 21' bass boat behind it. I have pulled the boat behind the last 2 campers. We really enjoy our fish/camping get aways.

Just joined forum yesterday. I have had my 2009 285RGD for a little over 2 years and have approximately 12ooo miles on it. The only issue was a leak around door and living room slide stops part way in or out. Wait a few seconds and push button again and it finishes the process. We like everything except the open shower. Wish I had gotten an enclosed bath. We camp year round at dog shows and in the local campgrounds.

New member, Just bought a Repo 2008 like new Sandpiper T272 TT, this is rare TT as it is the shortest TT with 2 deep slides that is fiberglass!
It was only used a few times, and still had the plastic over the carpet in the storage areas, and none of the bath room fixtures were installed, and they were still in the bubble wrap, the water filter wasnt ever installed either?
Low book was 23000.00, and I got it for 16000.00!
I also lucked out and got a In motion satellite dome with dual outlet for being able to watch different shows, in different rooms.
List was 2300.00, I got this used for 500.00!
Also installed a 1500 watt inverter by cobra, with the remote on/off.
Just plumbed the gas line out for a outside Camp Chef stove, and another outlet for the gas Fire ring, each have 40 feet of hose!
Next will be a much better rear bumper with receiver hitch for the 12 foot ATV trailer, and then maybe a new 120 watt solar pannel.
Cant wait for spring!
Thanks Coop

Be careful pulling a load behind a TT. It will get some sway going if not loaded right.

Just joined tonite. Last week we traded our TT for a 2008 345 RET that is like new with all the options we wanted. We were actually looking for a new fifth wheel and this was the first one we looked at. We thought it was brand new...dealer said "nope, its a 2008 previously owned but really taken good care of by owners who were meticulous". Former owner was an electrician and added a couple outlets which I am so glad he did! We love it. We are retired but when we camp we camp for as long as the park will let us stay which in season is two weeks, off season a couple months. Glad I found y'all!
No pictures yet ....its been too cold and windy to make any but as soon as weather warms up will post some. Oh yeah, our tow vehicle is a 2002 diesel Super Cab Lariat 7.6L Turbo.

My wife is all hot about a new 5th with a clubhouse, but for a reason even she doesn't know. Its just her and I. so why she wants a treehouse plus the 2 queens in the toy haul, I have no idea.

Personally, I'm digging the Voltage.
