2017 Aug 17th-20th - Bryce Canyon Utah rally

Hey everyone! Looks like things are falling into place for a Bryce Canyon rally at Ruby's Inn Aug 17th-20th @38.95/night. Right now we have a block of 25 spots but who knows if it will be less or more so book sooner rather than later as this is a popular campground. You can book your site by calling 866-878-9373 and tell them that you are part of the FROG group. Thinking of pot luck dinner one night and group breakfast one morning (breakfast courtesy of Forest River)

https://www.brycecanyoncampgrounds.com/

We have stayed at this campground before and really enjoyed what it has to offer. Wildlife is a plenty around this place so good chance to see some visitors come thru the campground. Showers are nice and well kept. Wifi is spotty but my cell service was excellent.

There are ATV excursions and helicopter tours that am working on getting group discounts.

There is also an awesome horseback tour inside the park- working on discounts for that and maybe we could fill one or more of the tours ourselves?

There is also a shuttle stop at the front door of RV park that takes you into the park and all the viewing areas. There is a FREE 3 hr tour by that shuttle company that you must book at 435-834-5290.

Zion national park is only an hour away if anyone wanted to make a day trip.

Post up any questions and I will do my best to get them answered!

Let's grab the spots and plan on a beautiful time!

Already have a member sign up! Thanks chickdoe!

Was talking with the horseback riding vendor and being that they will sell out with or without us, not really willing to give us a discount. But the ride is AMAZING so I recommend you go to their website www.canyonrides.com and book while you can!

Ok- today's topic is helicopter tours:

They have a 15 min flight for 75/ person and 30 minute flight for 175/person. Giving 10% off for FROG members. Flights start at 6:30 am. Call 435-691-8813 to reserve.

Ok... so the meeting room has been confirmed for a group dinner and FROG is taking care of breakfast for a morning. FROG will be putting this event on the news letter so book soon before all spots are gone.

Sounds like fun, we were just there last week. You forgot to mention an outstanding paved bicycle road that goes all the way from Red Canyon passing Ruby's, into Bryce all the way to Inspiration point. A fairly easy ride from Rubys to Inspiration Point and then hike from there to Bryce Point!

Much thanks to FROG as this event was posted on the FROG website today and will be in the newsletter coming out this week.

Let's see how many we can get to attend.

Interesting. Been looking for a place to go to get out of the eye of the eclipse and the crowd of blind people afterward. Maybe, just maybe I might join in; provided an old man with two big dogs in a popup are allowed.

Absolutely!! We are leaving our monsters at home (cause they don't like riding horseback!) but your two may be therapy for us. I know of one other camper bringing their dog but he is more of a little fur ball than anything. I'm sure your two will let us know if there is any wildlife near by.

Here's the quick link. We were all supposed to receive our e-mailed copy of frog newsletter by now but haven't seen it.

I changed my plans. Decided I needed to do my traveling part before the wedding. We are booked!!!

Can you tell me what the plans are for actual get togethers (the dinner and the breakfast)? I'm working on my itinerary and want to make reservations for the shuttle, western dinner, when we're heading over to Zion, and so forth. Thanks.

Sorry to respond late- was out camping[emoji4]

Our plan was for the group breakfast Saturday morning and pot luck dinner Saturday night. Nothing is etched in granite so if there is others that request a movement of either event by a day we are open to it.
