Absolutely! In fact, I'll just shell the darn things and eat the meat (although drawn butter with a touch of garlic in it is awesome as well!

Being land locked in Missouri we are taking every opportunity to eat some fresh seafood as we can. How much shrimp can you pack into a RV freezer anyhow?

The HECK with the freezer - get a cheap styrofoam cooler and cover the *frozen* seafood with towels and dry ice.

We do this as well for beef when we go to MI (it's crazy cheap up there and crazy expensive down here!)

Turns out it will hold 15lbs with room to spare. Bought 10 and divided it into 1lb bags, then Went back and got 5 lbs more. Froze solid and i just put it into our home freezer a few hours ago.

WOOHOO...gives me hope for stocking our freezer with lobster when we're ready to head out of Maine...I wanted to go to Acadia because we did the western parks two years ago, but part of my thinking in the whole plan is to eat lobster until I get sick of it...if that doesn't happen...I'll stock the freezer...grins...

If you want the best Maryland crab cakes go to Pappas restaurant outside of Baltimore. We almost didn't move because we would miss them so much. But they will ship overnight to anywhere in the lower 48. Website is pappascrabcakes.com.

Highly recommended by this former baltomoron.
