We use ours all the time. The only time we get in trouble is trying to use too many things at once. Sometimes pop a breaker.

We bought a thermal cooker to use on the road. It has a 30W 12VDC built in warmer. We can use it like a crock pot. I am going to get an AC adapter to test cook at home before we use it in the motorhome. We have had a few test meals without the plug. I need to get a AC adapter for it.

You will be able to filter out what pertains to your situation or not. I would suggest you read the electric threads and energy management first, and then the converter thread. This will help explain your different electrical systems of your RV, and how they operate...as well as what the converter does.

You can just peruse at your leisure:

Basic electric:

Your very important converter:

Suburban water heater (if applicable to your RV):

And the newest addition to help understand what constitutes a true full cylinder in refilling vs exchanging propane cylinders

Hope this helps.

Just stumbled on this and it was so helpful, thank you!
