Instant Pot

I use my instant pot outside plugged into the camper outdoor plug (not the power pedistal) if the recipe calls for a manual release. Don't want the moisture in the camper. If you can buy a second sealing ring because they do pick up odors from the food your cooking. Happy cooking!

RJD, let me know what you are trying to figure out. I adapted Instant Pot directions to my Bella no problem. I now use any old pressure cooker recipe.

Jean, I did manage to find a couple extra seals on Amazon (Bella customer service is lacking). However, I have not noticed the odors on the original seal transferring to any of my recipes. Nice to know I have extras in case I don't want to take a chance of having tapioca smell like curry!

I noticed that the poster has purchased an instapot.

Just posting to add information on our thoughts.
We have a 6 quart and a 3 quart. We use the 3 quart one every week the 6 quart one not so much. The 3 Quart heats up quicker and only uses 700 Watts. Only 2 of us

Meat comes out flavorful, moist and tender. By the time that the pot heats up and releases it is about the same time as preparing it on the stove.

We only use saute and pressure cook buttons. If you want a quick primer on using one of these I suggest looking for six sisters on utube or on ruku streaming channel.
I'm not associated with them however the videos sure helped us get a good start with instapot cooking.
Enjoy

Cracks me up when people call it Instapot. Is that a competitor to Instant Pot?

BTW, if anyone is interested in a larger multi-cooker and has access to BJ's wholesale, the Bella 10qt I have is on sale now for 40 bucks! Can't beat that price. In post #18, I said I got the 12 qt, it is actually 10 qt. It is handy for larger cuts of meat, especially since you're not supposed to fill it more than 2/3 full. Using stacking trivets, I can cook up 8 large chicken thighs at at time, hardboil 18 eggs at a time (great when making deviled eggs, crazy how easy eggs peel cooked this way). I cook for 2 people in it, but it's big enough to make family sized meals too.

My wife just bought the 8 qt instant pot and the instant pot vortex which is an air fryer oven with a rotisserie. She found them on sale at Kohl's and had a bunch of discount codes so she got them pretty cheap.

The pressure cooker came and we noticed one side had a large dent in the stainless steel side. She called them up and they sent out a new one with no problems. So now we have 2. Not sure what to do with the dented one or if it's even usable.

It's usable. The outside is just a covering. If you're really concerned, unscrew the bottom (I think it is) and make sure the pot inside is still intact. We've dropped each of ours and they're dented up but the pressure pot itself is still sound (or, at least- hasn't exploded yet).

We like having 2- it lets us cook different things like rice in one and meat in the other. Or veggies and meat. Or (whatever) and meat.

we like having 2 air fryers for same reason, I can fry up some fish in one, while fries are going in the other. Everything gets done at same time.
