the recipe is a piece of cake
choose your favorite pie recipe and either use the side burner to cook teh filling or you can use hte primary burners to do this as well, just make sure your handles are FLAME resistant , we take the handles off our ss pots when we cook big stuff like lasagna noodles

use a thick cast iron griddle to act as a heat disperser so as not to burn the bottoms of the pie crust
ramp up the heat so the temps are 350-400 to brown the crust
wont take but just a minute to brown, and coconut will brown in a blink of an eye. i laid it out on a cookie sheet wrapped in alum foil, it browned in about a minute
the meringue is a bit touchy
it will brown VERY fast
i ramp up the heat to 500 and shut off all the burners excpet the one farthest away and put the pie on the other side and close the lid, wait 3 minutes and open her up to check the browness and continue if required
then refridgerate to cool and ENJOY
OH its very important to make sure the grill is CLEAN of old greases and other food stuffs as they will impart their thier floavor inot your new pie......
