Ron,
I thought I read in an earlier post that the maximum pole length was 9'. I went back and searched previous posts but can't find it. Did I dream that? Weird if I dreaming about awning poles. Stripper poles maybe. Anyway, where my awning attaches to the trailer is 9'9" above the ground. Where my trailer is parked in my backyard there is a drop-off beside the trailer so I can't measure the end of the awning with it extended. But looking at it extended, it doesn't appear that there is that much slope on the awning. So I'm guessing that there would be less than 1' drop which would make the end of the awning somewhere around 9'. If camping on a spot that the awning side slopes away from the trailer, will the poles be long enough? Have you run into this problem? I don't think my trailer is taller than most other trailers.. I think I also read in the same post that you could make them longer?
On a second note, how did the powder coating turn out?
Thanks

To update this question,
Right now as my camper sits, awning retracted and is 10' from the ground in the front and 9' 2" in the rear.
Deployed the awning roller drops a foot to 9' in the front and 8' 2" in the rear which still leaves 9" of travel on pole in front.
My camper is level, the ground slopes away @ the front.
I've yet to have an issue with length with max extended poles @ 9' 9"
I'm guessing if level on level ground and retracted my awning is approximately 9' 6" so when deployed about 8' 6" leaving a 1' 6" of adjustment left.
Hope this helps.

ALL poles promised for shipping and or for Nashville / goshen have been built and shipped or in my camper, and or the units that are going to Nashville / goshen are going to powder coater tonight.
I will take orders but will not be filling them till I get back from nashville.
THANK ALL OF YOU for being patient while I made this first round of poles "made to order"
Hopefully when I get back I can have poles made up and ready for immediate shipping!
AGAIN THANK YOU!

Last chance to get a set of awning hold down poles delivered to Nashville or goshen.
I have time to make a couple of sets.

Ron,
Do your poles mount with the larger diameter tube up (connected to the awning) or larger tube down (on the ground)?
Thanks
