This is still up for sale...there's absolutely nothing wrong with this unit.
Its brand new, I received it as a replacement from my dealer but already replaced it with a different unit.
Will sell it for $249 OBO...

you might want to know that Concertone is charging $249 also, for a brand new ZX700 with a one year warranty.

it's an exchange program to replace older units. they give you $150 off the $399 price, for your older Concertone unit.

I believe it's also an AM-FM radio with built in weather
channels?? AND it's 12 volt so it works whether you have
shore power or not.

Sounds like a good deal, except that it says Concertone on it! I tossed mine after the 3rd one failed. installed a JVC auto head unit with aux. in so I can still have surround sound.

Yes, but the video output is still "composite;" a yellow RCA plug. With an older tube TV (non-digital 4x3) it will be perfect. With a newer flat screen 16x9 widescreen you will not be as happy. This article explains why.

http://www.lyberty.com/encyc/articles/svideo.html

Commercial DVDs are recorded in 720x480i but the 700 will only play them "down-sampled" to composite resolution 640x480i.

I have a Concertone 700 but do not use the internal DVD player at all (except for music mixed MP3 party CDs). I use an up-converting separate (small footprint) DVD player and its HDMI output to send 1020x480P signal to the flatscreen TV. That way I can get true widescreen. With the composite you would not only get an unacceptable picture, but your widescreen movie choices are "very tiny with large black bars at the top and bottom" or "zoomed in and miss the sides of the image".

I was extremely disappointed there was only a composite output, but was happy that it still played homemade movies on DVD-R format blanks with no problems. You would think the 700 would have had at least a component option since that output on DVD players has been around for YEARS.

Here is the product gallery to figure out which unit you have.

Looks like the Concertone ZX700/ZX690 are used interchangably unless there is a subtle difference between the two I am unaware of.
"Bob Fields input?"

Follow the link in Lou's msg above and then click the
photo of the 690.
It gives a larger view with basic comments.
I didn't dig any deeper but full tech specs may be
in there somewhere....

The 690 is the exact same unit. Search that.

Hi All

I saw this thread when it first came out, but since I had nothing to contribute to a private party sale I did not comment. Now I see a whole slew of questions etc, I guess I need to at least clarify just what a ZX700 is. Lou is right that you can review the ZX700 features and functions by reviewing the ZX690. The two units are indeed essentially the same, but the ZX690 is our retail model. More information can be found here: Concertone ZX690 RV 12V Multimedia / Radio System | CONCERTONE

Our 2011 Products will be coming to market within the 8 weeks and they will include HDMI outputs (as discussed in another thread) as well as optical inputs. We have heard your requests and responded.

Also mentioned here is our new Service Program that allows you to purchase a new zx690 for $249 after returning your old unit. You can find more information here: Concertone® Technical Support

Please let me know if you have any other questions regarding this. Obviously I cannot comment on the private sale specifically.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delays in responding, for some reason I was not being notified via email even though I subscribed to this thread? I didn't even get PM notifications..

The unit is still available if anyone is interested...I will keep a closer eye on this thread and my PM's incase I do not receive the notifications again.
