That's pretty nice! My Tt does not have the mount bracket. Are they hard to install?

The grill shown came with our's--called the SideKick , works great and gas line is within inches--not everyone likes a grill so close to the tt--but the hardware keeps it the required 12" from the trailer.

I have one similar to that, that goes on a swing mount attached to the rear bumper and I love mine. I should buy it as a spare for when mine rusts out.

I don't think this will work for me-seems like it's not recommended for under the awning and my trailer has no other place for mounting-i will have to keep looking....sorry

From the maker:
We have sold over 1000000 of these grills and I have less than 5 compaints. The Btu rating is less than 12000 and there should be plenting ov ventilation behind and beside the grill. Do not use it under an awning or roof!

Can't argue with facts.
My last two campers have not had an issue.
Btw if it wasn't safe forest river could not install it so, according to the rvia standards.

Many many members have this grill and use it all the time.

The op's is mounted under the awning.

Do what you want.

I do avoid cooking greasy burgers, flame is pretty close. Chicken, Steak, lean sauage
or Pork Chops are work really well. Common sense prevails, don't leave it run to burn off after using. I also use a 2 burner coleman under the awning too!

There is no rail mount installed on my trailer-that's what was leading me to think it won't work and is not suggested. And is why I contacted the maker. I still have an email to Forest River and am awaiting their reply.

The bumper mount looks really nice but that's another $150 which I don't have right now.

Actually I'm not sure where you got your info but this is from rvq website.

5. Is it safe to use the portable RVQ II Grill under the awning of my RV?

The RVQ II Grill is an enclosed grill so there is never any flare up. Almost no heat can be felt around the sides or on the lid of the RVQ II when the lid is shut. The RVQ II rests comfortably on the mounting bracket a safe distance out from the side of your RV and can be used without worry under your RV's awning.
