Rockwood HW-296 camper

I have a mint 2013 HW296 for sale. used only 4 times. This camper has all the options you would want on a loaded upright trailer. Includes a 22inch flat screen tv. Brand new add a room still in the box. New Gas Grill still in the box never used. heated mattresses, king bed on one end, queen bed on the other. camper sleeps 6 people. the box is 16 feet, duel axils. Electric lift.air condition. to many options to list here. search YouTube for HW296 to see many videos of the camper. Camper comes with tyvek cover to protect camper from the elements.

I pulled this camper with a 2012 chevy half ton pickup 4x4 and averaged 18 miles to the gallon.engine is a small v8

selling price is $14,000

Wow! I would have jumped at this a few months ago (if you were close enough).

I searched within 1,000 miles of Boston and could not locate one HW296 (used or new) to buy. I finally had to order one based on the brochure only.

Good luck with the sale. I am sure it will sell quick. The HW296 is a really nice unit.

Vin.

Thank you vinmaker

We really hate selling the camper. I have serious back trouble, and just can't deal with putting it up and down.you will love yours when you get it. I like the way it backs up. Just like any twin axil RV. The single axil campers turn on a dime. I no the price is fair, I have seen several of the hw296 2010's selling for what I am asking for my 2013. Happy camping to you

Can you not trade it in and get a decent price? I traded in one just like like that in November for our 32' TT. Our HW296 was 6 months old and we got $12,000 out of it and that was ACV (actual case value). You will also save on tax because you only pay tax on the difference. Just a thought.

Was yours a 2013? I got a deal in December on my Rpod, it was built last week. The dealer figures he gave me to good a price on the Rpod he wants to make up his loss by offering me only $8000 for my camper. I have seen dealers all over the country that have sold my camper for $14000 we only camped in it 4 times. I am sure had I traded it in when I made my deal he would have offered me 12000 on paper, and charged me more for the Rpod ,

Mine was a 2014 and I went in and ask what they were going to give me for my unit ACV and if it wasn't what I wanted then I would not look at a new unit there. I ended up getting my new unit for $27K and the MSRP was $42K. That was the best deal that I could find anywhere.

Mine is paid for so if I don't sell it, it's not the end of the world. Just isn't good letting it set. If they gave you $12000 they will ask $14000 to sell it off there lot. So my price is a fair price.

If I was to guess they will ask more than $14K so they can come down more and still make money and make the buyer think they are getting a better deal. Mine wasn't paid for so I had to trade it in when we bought our new one. Good luck with the sale, they are nice campers.

I agree. That's why I posted I would consider a fair price. We love the camper, but it's just to much for me with my messed up back. Happy camping

Mr Morris,

You are offering a very fair deal. Your killing me by the way knowing that you have such a wonderful pop up for sale shortly after I purchased mine. I would have loved to done the deal with you.

Sit tight on it and see what happens. This is the spring time and the weather needs to get a bit warmer for all the buyers to come out. This global cooling is keeping it cold but come middle May it should be warmer. The buyer will come out when it warms up.

You have an awesome pop up that many people will want. It can be towed by any mid sized SUV and full size truck. Your buyer population is huge in Michigan.

Good luck my friend.

Vin.

Thank you vinmaker. We would love to have it gone before we bring home our new RV the 8th of May. Don't have a lot of room at my home for 2 rv's and it's not good to have it sitting and not being used.

True. But the next few months of storage will be nothing compared to the winter.
