Just wondering what trailer and vehicle you used it with? I have 2011 dodge ram 1500 crew with 2014 288BHS apex. Would it be compatible?

We were using a 2013 Ford F150 super crew with a Wildwood Herritage Glen 312QBUD. The hitch head is adjustable and following the instructions you should be able to get the truck/trailer connection level. As for the Trailer, on the 312QBUD for proper placement of one of the brackets I had to raise the gas tank holder using washers. I do not recall the distance from the ball coupler back on the A frame for where the Weight Distribution jacks are located, but I can look it up in the instructions and let you know, this would probably be the only potential compatibility issue you would have, potentially requiring the movement of the LP tanks or other equipment that may be located at that part of the A frame.

You wouldn't happen to have pics of your mod of the propane tanks, would you? I just ordered a Hemisphere 312QBUD (same as yours) and have a propride to put on when it comes. I wish I would have known about your hitch sooner!

Sorry vettman... No photos. It was pretty simple accommodation. A bar that runs horizontally below the a frame is held on the frame by two u-bolts that hang where the metal plate sits for the lp tanks. That was the only conflict. To solve remove tanks and back out screws holding plate on. Then remove plate and install the 3p. When re installing the plate, the self tapping screws on mine were still long enough to use, but had to put 5 washers on each screw between a frame and plate to account for the 3p u-bolt height.

Burch.... According to the instruction manual, The weight distribution jacks are placed 26 inches back along the frame from the center of the coupler. There is a 1.5 inch buffer on either side of 26 to avoid lp tanks etc.

I was just wondering how often do u get to the Toledo area? I live north of detroit. And I think I'm gettn close to making a decision. How old is the hitch? Do you know if the warranty is transferable? Do u still have install instructions? I have a 2013 z71 1/2 ton, and pull a 37 ft coachmen 320 bhds. I'm hoping this was solve my obvious problem with the sway, and white nuckle driving until I can upgrade the tv. Thanks

Scooby, I have family near Toledo so I am able make it up there most weekends. This Sunday would be the next time. We have both a pdf of the instructions and the printed ones that came with it. I am not sure about the warranty transfer but can look into it. We had an equalizer and this hitch made a big difference.

I missed the hitch age question. We bought it and used it for the 2013 camping season, over the winter we decided to do seasonal camping... would have been nice to make that decision last season before we invested in the 3p.... but hindsight is always 20/20. Overall we were very happy with the hitch.

What is seasonal camping, and how does that diminish the value of the 3P to you, considering that you were happy with it?

Seasonal camping is parking rig at one site all season. No longer towing every weekend as a result. That's why the 3p had diminished value.
