[SOLD] Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel Pin Box

Have a Short bed truck? Want to tow a fifth wheel, but don't want to spend a ton of money on a sliding hitch system?! Well, The Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel Pin Box, completely eliminates the need for a sliding hitch!

Buy a gently used Sidewinder for less than half the price of new. - $450 or reasonable offer (Pickup only in Spotsylvania, VA)

Check out this video for a demo of features and use.

Information from product tag:
Model: Sidewinder
Max Trailer WT: 16,000lbs
Max Pin WT: 3,200lbs
Part No.#: SW16K
Date of MFG: 07/15/10

Information from Reese website for newest models:
(Reese - Sidewinder)

Reese Sidewinder, with a limited lifetime warranty, is the premium pin box designed specifically for short bed pickups. The nimble and quick design automatically eliminates turning and clearance headaches. Now you can make up to 90-degree plus turns without exiting the truck. Without throwing a switch. Without pushing a button.
Note Not all tow vehicle and trailer combinations will allow 90-degree turn
Sidewinder's king pin locking mechanism moves the pivot position 22" rear of the pin box's attachment point. This enables Sidewinder to handle up to a 90-degree plus turn effortlessly. By moving the pivot rearward while keeping the load centered over the axles, the trailer tracks more closely to the truck. This reduces the need for extra-wide turns and allows short bed pickups to jackknife with no fear of contact. And it's all done automatically. Sidewinder also offers faster steering wheel response, making backing up easier than ever before. The pivoting pin box makes hook up possible at any angle. And since the towing position of the pin box arm is locked in line with the truck, you can make full use of the truck bed space, giving you extra storage space for fuel tanks, toolboxes and cargo.
Don' let the slim looks fool you. Sidewinder has been built for strength. The C-channel design gives it more stability and strength than the standard pin box design. It also allows better load capacity and the ability to support heavier loads. Tested for real world conditions, Sidewinder has cleared rigorous testing by BOSCH automotive proving grounds and exceeds all SAE/CSA Standard 16K ratings requirements for RVs.

Which turret model is on your sidewinder? Or which pin box does it fit? There are multiple turrets to fit the many OEM pin boxes on 5'rs.

Other than the model and part no.# of the pin-box itself that I listed in the original post. There is no other identification numbers.

Does it have a pivot 22" behind the pin? Why not just post a picture of what you are selling?

Sorry, won't fit a Flagstaff or Rockwood with a factory Sidewinder. Bob Caldwell might be interested if you'll ship it to Washington state.

This sidewinder was a replacement pin-box for my Rockwood 8288 SS. I reinstalled the original Lippert pin-box as the sidewinder pin-box is not compatible with my B&W Companion hitch.

So your Rockwood 8288 SS DID NOT come with a factory Sidewinder?

I am the 2nd owner. The original owner stated that the Sidewinder was purchased and added. The original pin-box which I was also provided is what is shown in my previous post.

NMWILDCAT, you are correct, the sidewinder pin box is only 10" wide framed in. Without someone coming up with some bushings on the sides it will not fit most standard pin boxes. For the comment for Bob Caldwell he lives very close to me but shipping to WA. would cost you over 200.00 dollars not pesos. Has to be shipped by truck on a pallet.... PS: Bob if you want it I could pick it up and drop it off at a shipping Company for you, just sent your credit card. OCE probably still has those spacers he made for you. MAYBE...

Well Dang. I was looking for my buddy who has a Leland 7920 pin box. The width and the bolt holes won't match the Lippert 1621.

So he would have to buy a new turret (top part) for the sidewinder with the correct mount for his rig. Thanks for the info!
