Andersen No Sway WDH

Overall, I'm very pleased with my Andersen hitch. It's lightweight, quiet, easy to hook-up/remove and I have experienced very little sway, even in strong winds (no white knuckle encounters). It straightens the truck and trailer out immediately, if any sway is detected. I feel safe and I like it much much better than my old ProPride 3P hitch. I would recommend the Andersen hitch to anyone looking for a new weight distribution hitch with built in sway control.

I just picked up my new trailer (Coachman FE 257BHS) on Nov 19th and bought the Anderson hitch the week before. I wanted to help reduce my TV tongue weight and bought the Anderson being 60+/- pounds compared to my Equalizer 4-way at 100+/- pounds.

I really liked my Equalizer hitch but figured I’d gamble on the Anderson hitch. WOW was I surprised.

Absolutely NO sway and very quiet. My Equalizer hitch was still noisy on turns even with being lubricated properly.

The Anderson hitch requires no lubrication at all. Compared to loading the spring bars on the Equalizer, the Anderson chains hook-up/disconnect really fast.

So far I really like the hitch and once loaded with gear, etc….. will test its function under a load for sway and control.

34 footer with Anderson

I have been using Anderson for the past 4 years with my 34 footer. 18,000 miles on I have nothing but a great experience with it. I live in West Texas where the wind is a forever thing and I have no sway at all.

Well just got a new 5th wheel. because of the 6ft bed in truck had to go with the Andersen Hitch. only used it once to bring unit home. truck drove like nothing attached. 1225 tongue wt. 33ft long an 9000 lb unit. Perhaps different on a 5th then a tt.
