Enough room on my F250 w/B&W turnover ball without folding the last section up. My cover will fold upright, parallel to the rear window.

The bakflip model I have(not MX4) you can open and close the tailgate with it in place. Can't remember the model number got it 3 years ago, looks just like the MX4.

The MX4 does not require opening the cover to close the tailgate.

The MX4 and a few of the newest version, you don't have to open the cover to close the tailgate. That's one of the reasons I bought the MX4 vs. the G2. You can close the tailgate with the cover down or before you put the cover down, it will seal effectively both ways.
