Blackstone 22" Griddle
Two thumbs up! Great peice of kit for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Only complaint is griddle rides high and flames can be blown around when windy, nothing 10 minutes and some flashing couldn't take care of.

I have given some serious thought to getting one of these to replace the two burner camp stove I converted to use alongside my barbecue. Did you convert it from small bottles to your rig propane>

It comes with a detachable regulator. If your rig already has a low pressure propane connection all you need is a long hose. I bought a 12' hose from www.propanegear.com

Good to hear. I’m actually going to get one as well. Walmart has the 22” with stand, hood, and hose adapter for large propane tanks for $174.
Like the idea of replacing the camp stove and grill with one item.

Bought one two weeks ago at BJs Warehouse on sale $30 off. Bought the quick connect adapter and hook it directly to coach. Came with carrying case and stand. Used it for burgers, chicken, breakfast and chew steaks already. Love it!!

How did you hook it up to your trailer gas supply?

We received one for Christmas and LOVE it. We tried hooking it up to our trailer, but I think I bought the wrong adapter. It didn't get very hot. What hose did you purchase?

This one:
Converta•BP - 12 Ft. M/F Quick-Connect RV Quick-Connect compatible with Blackstone® 17”/ 22” Griddles
SKU: 35306-bk
https://propanegear.com/blackstone-1...t-m-f-qc-hose/
Be certain to remove the pressure regulator that comes with the griddle IF your RV already has the regulator built-in. Most do if they provide the grill fitting, as far as I know. Running two regulators definitely will reduce the pressure.
The blue 90-degree adapter in the picture is what replaces the Blackstone regulator.

The "package" I got included an adapter hose to hook up to a 20lbs tank..not a quick connect.

We were able to remove the regulator from the griddle, and with the purchase of what seemed like dozens of parts and pieces, got it straightened out with trial and error to use the quick connect on the trailer. My understanding is that blackstone now sells what you need to change it over.
Prior to removing the regulator, the gas in the trailer would be regulated twice. Once just after the tank, and then once again at the griddle. So if you turned it all the way on high, the flame was the equivalent of having it on the lowest setting. If you arent getting enough heat in the griddle, that is almost certainly the problem. We find that it is very easy to get it "too hot" if you arent careful. I will dig around and see if I can find the information I put together for the quick connect.

This was the thread I mentioned that I would try to track down (I mentioned in my post #10). There are multiple ways of going about this, but its just the way I was able to make it work for me. Hope this helps if you are trying to finagle the quick connect.

Here you go folks, a quick search on the Amazon turned up this rig for connecting the Blackstone to your RV's low pressure QC propane:
12FT Male/Female Quick-Connect RV Propane Extension Hose Compatible with Blackstone 17"/22" Griddles
I started out with the 17" but then the DW got me the 22" for Christmas, so now we have both the 17 and the 22". They're both wonderful things, but with 2 burners, the 22" does get hotter if you need it--and obviously more room. Donwside, the 22' is getting into the "heavy" territory, and takes more room to store. TNSTAAFL. We love our Blackstones! Either one is great!
I originally bought my propane gear from propanegear.com, but since then, the same parts have shown up all over Amazon for substantially lower prices. I bought the Amazon adapter shown above (without the hose) to include with the 17" when it goes to its new home. Both the PG adapter and the Amazon adapter work as advertised.

Blackstone 22" Griddle
I ordered this to hook up mine to RV.
Now I can use either my RV or I can use a 20# tank on deck at house. Use this for RV and use connection that came with griddle for House.

We've been using our 17" Blackstone for 3 years now and really like it. Only thing I miss are the grill marks.

My brother-in-law has the 22” unit that came with a stand and hood. He loves it and given his cooking skills they use the heck out of it. On our family trip last week he went through 20 lbs. of propane in 6 days. I am going to look into the smaller unit for the DW and I. I would replace the grill that came with our TR (which I actually like....not super high quality but got the job done on our last trip).

Same problem on new Blackstone Tailgater Combo from Camping World this week. Not hot enough to season griddle or cook bacon. Called Mfr. and they explained how to "reset the regulator". Disconnect from tank and let hose hang for 30 seconds; reconnect and open valve 1/4 turn and light griddle; open valve an extra 1/2 turn ONLY. Problem solved and griddle hit 475+ degrees very quickly on my infrared thermometer.
BTW, connecting to rig on quick connect rather than direct to tank with their regulator WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. But Blackstone still told me to contact propanegear.com to order the hose, LOL.

LOL, haven't heard that before. But, not much to go wrong with a Blackstone anyway, and connecting to the rig propane eliminates the component that causes probably 99% of the problems.

I read it in the owner manual first, Blackstone confirmed it.
