Awning for Backpack pop-up

I have an SS1500 and wondering if anyone has adapted an awning to theirs,? Or,is it better just to buy a pop-up gazebo or the like?

We don't have a awning on ours but wished that we did. There are quite a few types that can be mounted on pop-ups, there are regular bolt-on roll-ups and the Bat wing types. Your local RV dealer can hook you up. We rigged up one of those (12'x12'x12') triangular sun shades you can buy amazon to the roof latches with the third side using a telescopic painters pole and a couple of guy wires. We set up a small screen tent up under it.....Its pretty spartan but it will have to do until we can afford an real awning.

A real awning would have to have holes drilled , right?

Yea, they usually bolt through the camper wall.
