Electrical outlet in wet bathroom?

Good day. I recently acquired a 2007 Palomino M7701. In the "wet" bath, there is a GFI protected electrical receptacle. There is a shower curtain but still, with all the splashing and moisture during a shower, the receptacle seems too close for comfort, even though it is protected by a GFI. I can see from other pictures that this was factory installed. I am thinking about removing it but wondering if others have run into this or are I am super paranoid?

I have a GFCI master outlet about 10.61" from my bathroom sink where much splashing takes place. No worries. That's the smartest outlet I've ever seen. It can turn off power much faster than a breaker can trip.

The location of the outlet is code compliant and just fine. It will NOT get water on it. It has wiring tied to it that feeds at least 4 more outlets in your coach. Like Dan, I have one with in about 10" of the sink. GFI's control any outlet that is within 6' of any water supply. There is an outlet on the outside of your coach that is exposed to rain! You are WAY over thinking this.!

No, I'm not sure... I'm just guessing -- trying to make it look exact (I DID add "about") in what was really a Yes/No question. Truth is it's too cold for an old man to walk out to the shed/barn and measure it!

I understand about a camper with a wet bath. Had one once and I understand your concern. Water is splashed everywhere on everything when showering. I would too be concerned about any receptacle in there, even if it is a gfci.

I have a wet bath with no sink. Pretty tiny. Does you wet bath have a sink? If it does it's way bigger than mine. Anyway, love this site read it all the time. I would not have any kind of receptacle in my wet bath. Just barely better than putting one in the shallow end of your swimming pool. Plus the way they wire these things is not anywhere near what you see in home construction. I've had several receptacles stop working because the wires came undone. My bet is this is a bathroom with a sink and a shower stall not a true "wet bath". I can't take a shower in mine if I eat desert after dinner but I can sit on the potty and take a shower.

Wet locations are what they're designed for. Should have a test button that should be checked now and then. It may protect other outlets on the circuit. If you don't use it, guess I'd cover it over removing it.
