Low water Pressure and No Hot Water - help!

Hi everyone,

Kind of struggling at the moment!

1.
- very low water pressure (water coming out all faucets at maybe 1/4 of flow rate of what it should be)

I can't see any leaks.

Pump is kind of erratic and loud.

We are currently in Arizona so pipes not frozen.

Any help gratefully received!

I assume you are pumping water from the onboard water tank. Is there a sufficient amount of water in the tank? My pump only growls when tank is running low.

Yes pumping from on-board water tank! I know the growl you mean.

Even on a full tank the water pressure is very low.

Did you figure out the water heater issue?

I would add several gallons to the tank and run the the water for a minute to see if it improves. If not, You may have a filter on the inlet side of the pump (I have one). If that looks good I would suspect a pump issue. Hopefully someone else will chime in. Let us know what you find.

Yes!

So I have been told that as my water heater is an on demand heater, it needs sufficient water pressure in order to activate the heating process of the water.

It might help more if you posted year, make and model of RV you have since you don't have it listed in your profile.
Never heard of a popup or A-frame trailer with an on-demand water heater.

The water that is coming out, is there a lot of air with it? If yes, you may have something loose like a fitting that is allowing air in the line.

No there is not a lot of air coming out at the same time.

To answer other point: Make - Palomino. Year - 2018. Model - Backpack SZSS-1200.

I made a very unprofessional video here of the water pressure and wild pump are like here:
https://youtu.be/wMAfRulRxyc

I had another question! WINTERIZATION

If I choose to winterize with that "pink stuff" and the water pressure is low, will it get to all the places it needs too? I am guessing yes, but it'll just take longer?

Water is coming out of all faucets and shower heads, but just really slow.

and that would be on the inlet to the pump. On the outlet of the pump, the loose fitting would be just a water leak.

Also, on demand water heaters don't turn on with pressure. They turn on with a flow switch. If they turned on with pressure, they would be on all the time.

I would look at the inlet screen to the water pump, or the water filter if you have one.

Check filter

There should be a filter on the intake side of the water pump. Check to see that filter is not clogged with debris. If you're connected to city water, there should be a filter at the intake and there is also a back flow valve. Check that filter to see it is not clogged with debris, and while standing clear push the back flow valve to ensure it isn't preventing the proper flow of water (it will likely spit water back at you, so stand to the side).

Just thought of something, do you have an in-line water filter hidden somewhere. We bought our camper used and I found it in the entertainment system. Not where I would have suspected it.

If you have a winterizing valve at the water pump, make sure it is is fully open to water tank and not to winterizing inlet port. Also check water pump strainer is free from debris and bowl is screwed on tight.

Pull the faucet aerators. If they get clogged no flow and don't know if your unit would have by-pass valves for winterization.

It is posted in a "Truck camper" thread. That is the only hint.

Low Water Pressure

Just a thought ! Have you checked your outside shower hose? Could the hot and cold be half on at the valves and on the sprayer just shut off? Also I agree it sounds like the level is too low in your water tank! But if you are running pump to winterize and drawing from antifreeze bottle. You probably have a valve in wrong position.
Good Luck it is frustrating sometimes I know.
