Palomino questions.....

Greetings. We have a long bed RAM drw and are looking for a TC.

Palomino looks very enticing. (We've had a Lance in the past but that's not in the budget right now.) Hard side for sure, maybe with a slide..... we'll see.

The question I have is about the long AND short bed TC's. If you put one of these in a long bed how does it sit in the back? And I assume there will be room between the cab and the TC. How much? Enough for an aux tank? Do the fat fenders get in the way of the tie down system here?

Next step is to visit a dealer and look at things. Meanwhile if anyone that has a setup matching mine a few pics would be greatly appreciated!

I have a short bed truck so I have storage in the wings, but the long bed version will not have outside storage. The wings will be in about 20" from the back of the bed.

And I assume there will be room between the cab and the TC. How much?

There are 4" bumpers on the front of the camper that touch the front of the truck bed.

Enough for an aux tank?

Probably not.

I would guess no, but it may depend on the type of hold down system you go with.

The fenders do get in the way, that is why you get the truck camper with dually brackets so the jacks swing out past the fenders. If you want a slide the back of the camper needs to hang over the rear of the bed. the HS 2902 Max fits a 6'6" or 8' bed. The HS 2910 Max is for a 1 ton truck and 8' bed.
