Real Lite Roof Latches won’t tension Enough!

Hello, I recently bought a Real lite 1608 and when I lower the roof down and tuck everything inside appropriately I can’t tighten the latches enough to provide enough tension so they come right off the lip and flop down. The tension screw is in as far as it will go. This isn’t on all the latches but two of the 4. Has anyone experienced this?

Have you contacted that dealer or palomino? You may have to move the whole latch down.

Latches

I didn’t buy it from a dealer and don’t have a dealer near by. It’s a 2013, I’m thinking I almost have to unthread the tensioner screw and grind off a 1/4” of it so I can tension it at this point since it bottoms out before there is enough tension. I surely don’t want to drill new holes and lower the latch box.

I had a 2012 1251 but never had problems with it latching. I don't remember exactly what the latch looks like. Is it possible to replace the threaded portion?

Or contact the factory. When I have had a problem, they have been quick to respond.

Contacting the factory might be an option, thanks.
