SS-1200 Fan Vent Water Leak

I have a very small water leak from the fan vent. Real small but over the bed.

Has anyone had this issue and resolved it?

On inspecting the outside roof area it appears the sealant used has created a "moat" area around the entire frame. Was considering either:

1) Cleaning and back filling with more goop to fill in and eliminate the "moat"

or

2) Removing all factory installed sealant and resealing. Any recommendations on sealant removal solvent?

Thanks

SS-1200 Fan Vent Water Leak - Fix Follow Up

The following is offered as something to check.

Investigated and found 4 mini towers on the outside fan housing frame. These appear to be anchor points for attachment screws. Two on each side fore/aft.

The two one the right side were fully sealed, including the inside of the towers. The two one the left side were only partially sealed with the sealant half way up the front one and barely any on the rear one. None of the towers appear to have any mounting screws in them.

It was a combination of the self-leveling sealant around the outside frame creating a moat and the water level rising above the rear tower sealant level, which was lower than the "full moat level". Creating the slow pinhole leak where the water was entering empty mounting screw hole.

Stripped cleaned all sealant from the two left side towers and filled/resealed. Ran a sprinkler on the roof for 2 hours. No leaks.
