SS 1240 Palomino Badlands Pkg

I have a 1240 being built and should be ready to pick up, out of state, towards the end of the month. Besides the basic purchasing wisdom, are there any pecularaties on Palominos where I need to be asking certain things or checking specific items when taking delivery of the unit? I'd like to make sure all "t's" are crossed and "i's" dotted.

Also, has anyone built their own porch/bumper off an extended hitch mount or designed and installed their own awnings? These are two features that would give the unit added value that I'd like to attack.

Thanks for your time and go where you'll be most alive.

Congratulations on your upcoming purchase. I don't know what the badlands package is, but make sure you get instructions on everything including winterizing. Many questions pop up about no hot water because the camper is winterized. Go to truck camper magazine. https://www.truckcampermagazine.com/They have articles on inspecting truck campers and also porch mods.
