Water Filter Questions?

Hey all, just a quick question, newbie to the truck camper world and figuring out some good stuff, but I just am wondering if on my 1251 Palomino if I need to install the water filter and how?

There is a water filter but it isn't connected inline and I am just wondering why it wouldn't be connected since I bought it new, or if it is needed, assuming yes on that one.

Any help on how to or what to do, working on the set up this weekend and just trying to figure this one out. Assuming it goes near the water pump area, but just don't see it in the manual anywhere on my steps to take.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

I am going to guess the filter was bypassed to winterize the trailer.
Use it if you wish but be prepared to pay big for the replacement canister.

I use one of the blue inline filters from Walmart to keep sand and what not out of the system.

Would you plan on drinking water from the tank or CG well?

Definitely water from the tank most of what we will be doing will be off road without hookups.

Then you want to filter it before the tank to keep stuff out.

Perhaps something like this to make it easy to change the filter unless you want to use the inline made Camco
